Change is Afoot at DB Foot Clinic

A word from Ross Skilton, clinic owner

I have been with DB Foot Clinic since 2013, where I rented a room to offer osteopathic healthcare under my own business name of South Downs Osteopathy. Since then I have seen both businesses go from strength to strength and have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the DB Foot Clinic family. When former owner David announced he was retiring last year I jumped at the chance of taking on the clinic myself and merging it with South Downs Osteopathy to create a truly multidisciplinary practice. To better reflect this, I decided it was time for a name change and a face-lift. So on 1st September we bade a fond farewell to the DB Foot Clinic name and an enthusiastic welcome to our new-look South Downs Clinic!

Our clients can expect the same friendly, professional service, whether you are visiting us for foot care from our podiatrists or for some hands-on treatment from our osteopaths. All of our practitioners are fully registered and insured, and undergo continuous training to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. Our lovely reception team will be sure to offer you a warm welcome on arrival.

Finally, I am pleased to announce some new services available at the clinic on Saturdays: ear wax microsuction with Patricia and hypnotherapy with Margaret. Appointments are bookable directly with the practitioners; please check our website or ask at reception for their contact details.

Ear wax microsuction will be available at the clinic on alternate Saturdays from 17th August 2024

Patricia is a fully qualified audiologist with nearly 10 years experience. Fully insured and DBS checked, Patricia will be providing an ear wax microsuction service at the clinic on Saturdays. Hypnotherapy with experienced therapist, Margaret Sinclair

South Downs Osteopathy @ db Foot Clinic

Osteopathy appointments are now available at the clinic 5 days a week. Ross continues to provide appointments on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and we now have a wonderful new Osteopath, Amber, who is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Ross also runs a clinic at the Henfield Haven on Tuesday afternoons. Please call our reception team on 01273 493467 for all bookings.

Change of Ownership

A message from David Bremner, former owner of DB Foot Clinic:

To All our Wonderful Patients!

As of the 1st April 2023, ownership of the DB Foot Clinic passed to Mr Ross Skilton. Little will change in the near future, with the clinic continuing to offer podiatry, osteopathic and other treatments. Stepping back was not an easy decision, however, the time is right, and I shall remain in the background of the clinic over the next 5 years to assist Ross whenever needed.

As the previous owner, I am much indebted to the patronage, loyalty and kindness of the many patients who have passed through our doors. Without you, we wouldn’t exist, and I trust we have served you well. Many of you have become part of my extended family over the past 25 years, and I am only sorry that I have not been able to speak to you all individually before I stepped down.

During my time at the helm, I have also been blessed with some amazing professional colleagues and front-line staff (my A-Team!) and I’d like to express my gratitude for their part in making DB Foot Clinic what it is today……..I couldn’t have done it on my own!

Also, a big thank you to all our local suppliers, and the wider neighbourhood of Henfield and beyond. Your support and encouragement has been invaluable in helping establish a clinic that, I believe, has played a small part in our local community.

With the changing of the guard, you are now in the very capable hands of Ross Skilton, who has been our resident osteopath for the past decade. Ross is a man of principle, who cares for his patients, has good ethics and works with honesty and integrity. He is determined to continue and enhance the good name of the clinic, and as a younger man, has the energy and vitality to move the clinic forward in this most wonderful village.

I shall miss being a podiatrist, and will remember all my patients fondly. I did promise that I would not just abandon you and walk-off into the sunset! Emma is still here and has been joined by two fantastic new podiatrists in Karen and Lauren who have already made their mark. I am comfortable in the knowledge that you are safe in the hands of these caring, personable and well-trained individuals who will keep you all walking, running, and dancing for many years to come.

FINALLY, IT JUST LEAVES ME TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN A PART OF THIS INCREDIBLE DB FOOT CLINIC JOURNEY SO FAR, AND TO WISH ROSS AND HIS TEAM MUCH SUCCESS WITH THE FUTURE OF THE CLINIC.
